So Far …

I’m still alive, can’t talk, but here’s a bunch of photos so far – I apologise for their quality, they’ve been taken from my blackberry because I didn’t have enough time to pack my D-SLR and the batteries have gone out on my point and shoot.

The trees! They bloom! OMG! It’s a good thing I don’t have a car here because I’d drive it into someone while I’m whizzing down the road staring at the TREES! THAT BLOOM!

The temperature in my office for FOUR FREAKING DAYS! I must say here that I absolutely LOVE electricity.

You can’t see the bruise well in this photo, but I managed to drop a bookshelf on my foot and fracture two of the long bones in my foot. Grace. I has it.

More trees! That bloom! I made it to the botanical garden here in town and saw this. AMAZING. I want a tree like this in my front yard. I want to move here and have a tree like this in my front yard. Ten of them.

Frozen Precipitation!

So I got to drive across the entire state of Washington today. And tomorrow I get to go back. Joy!

Anyway, if you look at a map and begin in Seattle and look across towards the other side of the state, you see that you have to cross mountains. And tall, blustery mountains at that. In early April. And western Washington is known for its precipitation. Which in the cold, blustery mountains in early April means … drumroll, please …

SNOW!!!

I got to see snow today, and lots of it. And be snowed on! OMG! For a snow freak, it was awesome! And I get to go through it again tomorrow! Can't wait!
